Our history

mas was founded by François Jeannet together with Dominique Freymond in 2003. The idea was to create a different type of consulting firm, one focused on the highest levels of value creation and effective improvement. At first, mas primarily served as a strategy consulting boutique on the few, very pressing issues facing a small group of Board- and C-level clients.

As business developed, mas created a network of specialized and highly skilled associated partners. Today, this group of 20 individuals is able to address complex client issues holistically, with a unique set of skills. Starting with strategy reviews, market entry strategies and governance assessments, mas gained additional reputation in M&A, in market intelligence, investment advisory and performance improvement.

In January 2009 Heinrich Zetlmayer joined mas as partner with the mission to develop the co-execution practice and to support private and corporate investors with the performance improvement of their participations.

In March 2010 Herwig Gangl joined as partner in Vienna, responsible for the expansion to the Austrian and CEE markets and to strengthen the market development and the turnaround practice. The offices in Zurich and Vienna work as a seamless organization.
