Peter Duthaler

is associated partner of mas with core competences in contracting, risk management, process improvement, contract education and m&a in the IT environment. Independently from mas he supports since 2007 a broad range of Swiss and international customers in the context of his own consulting firm PETER DUTHALER GMBH.

Peter worked before many years for IBM, where he built up and led the Swiss Services Contract department and negotiated many major contracts with leading Swiss and worldwide customers from all industries in the areas of Systems Integration, IT and Business Transaction Outsourcing, as well as corporate Software and Hardware sourcing. He successfully settled a large number of contractual disputes and critical IT project situations through skilled negotiation and mediation. In addition, Peter made a substantial contribution to the definition and implementation of the process management systems of IBM Switzerland and IBM Europe including their ISO9000 certification.

Prior to his contractual dedication, Peter had acquired comprehensive knowledge and experience in the IT business over the full scope from programming to marketing. He holds a master’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Basel, complemented by numerous technical, commercial and legal seminars and certificates.
